At the moment, Chief Justice Martha Koome, President William Ruto, and other Judicial Service Commission (JSC) members are in attendance at the Safari Park, Nairobi County, official launch of the NCAJ Inaugural Annual Report. The Chief Justice spoke at the occasion and provided an inside look at how the organization she oversees makes sure Kenyans are served diligently and effectively. She pointed out that whenever the judiciary came together for consultative meetings, they never discussed the merits of any judicial matter.
She affirmed that the Judiciary's sole focus is on providing Kenyans with justice at the appropriate time and in the most satisfying way possible, without taking sides. We never discuss the merits of any issue in our meetings; only the administration of justice. Are we giving our people justice? We frequently ask ourselves that question, according to CJ Koome.
She also expressed her gratitude to the Head of State for accepting her invitation to preside over the occasion, which is regarded as greatly promoting the effectiveness of the judiciary.
