Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, on Saturday, March 18, denied allegations that he had pulled out of Monday, March 20, planned protests leading to State House.
Today there was some online commotion after a posted allegedely originating from Azimio co-principal and WIPER party leader allegedely revealed that he had pulled out from the Monday mass protest. The posted which has since gone viral online, indicated that the wiper leader was distancing himself from the planned mass action.
"I would like to distance myself from protests (maandamano). My people have suffered enough under selfish individuals, and I don't want to see them fall into that trap again," the fake poster claimed.
Following that fake news, the wiper party has finally came out to clear the air saying that the poster is fake and didn't originate from wiper. Through his communication lead Hon Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka Command Centre, Paloma Gatabaki, flagged a viral poster alleging that the former Vice President had withdrawn from the protests.
They instated that Kalonzo is still advocating for the Azimio ambitions to ensure that the cost of living is lowered and will stand by Raila Odinga's side until the end.
"Kalonzo Musyoka's stance is clear and unequivocal: Lower the cost of living and end electoral malpractice. No amount of intimidation will alter our stand," Gatabaki stated.
Some people online went ahead to share old photos saying that Kalonzo had jetted out of the country to Sydney with other saying that he has flew to USA for a five days tour. Even as that continues, Raila Odinga has today revealed that they will not be storming State House as earlier planned but will send a delegation to William Ruto so that they can deliver their message. Raila however noted that the protest will not end on Monday but will continue until William Ruto takes action on their demands.
