Renowned Kenyan lawyer Cliff Ombeta has called out the National Police Service for allegedly arresting suspects without telling them anything as in the case where renowned Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi was arrested by police officers for holding demonstrations against the government.
In a news report that has been shared by a reliable source of information, it has been revealed that Eric Omondi was arrested by police officers who were trying to stop him from Demonstrating against the government under President William for not lowering the cost of living in the country.
Speaking about the incident, renowned Kenyan lawyer Cliff Ombeta has called out the police for arresting the renowned comedian stating that it is not okay for the police to be making careless arrests.
A police officer is not allowed to make any arrests as the police officer did to Eric Omondi. It is so unfortunate that the police decided to arrest the renowned comedian who he claimed should have been told what he did. A police officer can't arrest someone, hold them after which they are released by the police ~Cliff Ombeta.
While reacting to his remarks, Kenyans who took to their different social media accounts to express their opinions on the matter have called upon the National Police Service along with the directorate of criminal investigations to follow the law While calling and summoning people who are arrested by Police officers.
According to the reports given by most Kenyans, they claimed that it is so unfortunate that the police arrested the renowned comedian even though he was doing what he is allowed to under the rights and freedom of all Kenyans. He was holding demonstrations in the country, he did not hurt anyone, he was just doing what the law allows him to.
