AG Muturi's Advice To President Ruto Which Might See Increase Of Judges In Court Of Appeal

Cases in the Court of Appeal might soon take the shortest time possible supposedly new proposal by the Attorney General goes through. This court had only 29 judges currently and has so far seen Kenyans complaining how long and tedious appealing a case in the country is

According to Nation, Attorney General Justin Muturi has advised President William Ruto to increase this number of judges from 29 to 70. It is good to note that increasing of judges so as to provide efficiency was part of President William Ruto's manifesto thus this proposal by AG Muturi will see Ruto fulfil part of his key agenda

"The JSC had proposed 50 judges in the appellate court. But I had a chat with the President and advised him that it is better to have the number capped at 70 because you don’t have to keep on amending the law every time," AG Justin Muturi has mentioned
