Narc Kenya Party leader, and the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance deputy presidential candidate Martha Karua has broken her silence, over the planned protests in favour of the four descending IEBC commissioners to be led by Raila Odinga on Wednesday December 7th and December 12th at Kamukunji Grounds.

Raila in a number of his recent addresses and social media posts said that the said rallies will be to engage Kenyans on move to oust Irene Masit, Francis Wanderi, Justus Nyang'aya and Juliana Cherera even as the latter two resigned.

Speaking in Nairobi on Monday evening, Karua said that protests is a right granted by the Constitution and no one can be able to derogate it.

"The rights granted by our constitution cannot be derogated by anyone, not even the courts and not any other authority, and must be respected."

"The meeting will be a coming together of Kenyans to share views on the state of affairs in the country, and it is in line with Article 37 of the constitution on the right to assembly, demonstrate and petition. This is what we will be doing on 7th."

She went on to urge those who will be attending the meeting to be orderly and peaceful.
