A dramatic scene has been witnessed in court during the court proceedings of a suspect of a rape in Machakos County who was arrested for defiling his own niece on several accounts.
Joel Nzomo, the culprit, was caught pants down in Mathingau making merry with her niece infecting her with an STI upon medical checkup.
During the culprit's hearing before the Senior Resident Magistrate at Kithimani Court, Eve Wambugu, a fracas was witnessed since the culprit broke down into tears on hearing his sentence.

The court has sentenced him to a life imprisonment after he was found guilty of defiling his niece and to make matters, infecting her with an STI instead of advising the girl to be in school.
According to the Margistrate, the court sentence was stringed so as to act as a warning to those intending to do so to children in future.
The suspect was given 14-days to appeal the judgement. He was sent to Kamiti Maximum Prison whereby he will serve his jail term.
