Motorist Protest In Eastleigh Over Hike In Fuel Price

A dramatic scene was experienced at Eastleigh in Nairobi after the owner of one saloon car abandoned it in the middle of the road.

According to the source, the vehicle was left in a parking mood and the occupants had disappeared from the scene. The incident led several people to help each other and try to move it in an effort of paving the way.

According to the source, the owner might have intentionally parked his vehicle there in protest against the increment in fuel price in Nairobi and across the country.

This incident comes barely hours after public vehicle owners had planned to protest against the same. It is not yet known whether they will carry on with it but sources have it t.

Police officers were informed and came to the scene to investigate the incident. The vehicle was later taken to a nearby police station. Kenyans online reacted with many calling the government to consider people's grievances.
