"Discrimination For The Good Of The Public Is Encouraged" High Court Advocate, Kennedy Echesa

Citizen TV hosted a calibre of panelists serving at different capacities to discuss the major elephant in the country, 'degree qualifications'.

The eloquent lawyer defended the law aggressively and infact called it a bare minimum requirement.

"We should not celebrate mediocrity just because majority did not get the fair chance of free education."

He says there is a forum for adult education, that they should embrace that format and simply stop laziness.

According to him, both assemblies have a good number of committees, which various honourable members shall be placed based on the merits stemming from their qualifications.

"How then, shall you place a class six drop out or how will a professor, a doctor argue professionally in matters relating to serious undertakings, with individuals in a committee, who have dropped from their educational journey."

Discussion shifted forth and back, while other panelist settling on both calling and capacity.

One panelist, who is an MCA, argued that, the normal operations of the holder of such position like him, does not really depend or being limited to minimum degree qualification.

My question is, does the law specify which degree cadre are they alleging to, to be the minimum threshold?

Do we need a specific requirement, let say in Political Science?

That a calling to a particular position, is different from meeting the qualification to be there, especially positions of political service.

What do you say?
