Uhuru Given 14 Days By High Court To Appoint 6 Judges Or Else The Chief Justice Swears Them In

President Uhuru Kenyatta has been given 14 days to appoint six justices who were not promoted in June 2021.

If the President fails to comply with the order, the six justices will be considered properly appointed, and the Chief Justice will conduct their inauguration.

Joel Ngugi, George Odunga, Weldon Korir, Aggrey Muchelule, Registrar of the High Court Judy Omange, and Chief Magistrate Evans Kiago are among the six nominees.

On Thursday, October 21, 2021, a three-judge bench in Nairobi, consisting of James Wakiaga, George Dulu, and William Musyoka, reached a verdict.
