Former Chief Justice of Kenya who took over from Willy Mutunga, David Maraga took charge at a key event. This is according to the information shared by Katiba Institute.

Today the 14th Chief Justice of Kenya, David Maraga took charge as he officially opened the 2022 Africa Strategic Human Rights Litigation Course.

The event is reported to be co-hosted by Open Society Justice Initiative, OSF Justice and the Katiba Institute.

David Maraga was succeeded by the Current Chief Justice Martha Koome who was nominated by the then President Uhuru Kenyatta after the term of Maraga in office ended.
During the first speech of President William Ruto in Parliament, the former Chief Justice was present alongside Independent and Electoral Boundaries Commission, IEBC Chairperson Wafula Chebukati.
