The two middle aged ladies from Cameroon who attempted homosexuality and other offenses were arrested for their clothes as their lawyer stated. A local social media celebrity by the names of Shakiro, also identified as Loic Njeukam and Patricia, also identified as Ronald Mouthe were arrested.
Human rights activists based in the country say that their detentions as well as arrests are part of the growing criminalisation of sexual minorities and transgender individuals in Cameroon. The two receaved maximum sentence of five years in prison with a huge amount of fine for public indecency and failing to carry identification. Many Cameroon residents have condemned the act and want to push for sexual choice freedom among its people. In many countries around the world, people have been given the freedom with others allowing legalisation of their marriages and the adoption of babies between transgender couples.
