Chief Justice Martha Koome has today held a powerful meeting just forty five (45) days to August polls.
Details emerging reveal that the CJ met with the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) Representative to Kenya, Ambassador Carla Elisa Luis Mucavi, in her office in Nairobi today, Friday afternoon where raft of issues including matters of mutual collaboration were discussed.
“The Judiciary and FAO are actively working towards addressing the needs of the most vulnerable members of our society with a particular focus on mainstreaming and institutionalising Alternative Justice Systems" Martha Koome tweeted.
Earlier in the day, the CJ met hosted officials from the Kenya Institute of Special Education led by the Director Dr Norman Kiogora at the Supreme Court buildings.
“We will ensure that the impact of the discharge of the functions of the Judiciary are socially just and lead to the establishment of an egalitarian State that prioritises the welfare of all persons.
The Judiciary remains committed to ensuring that all Kenyans have access to judicial services that are accessible, efficient and cost effective." She tweeted after the meeting.
