A 50-year-old man identified as Mohamed Olutu from Tanzania narrates his story on how he met his wife while they were both in prison. The wife had been sentenced to death bit later got a presidential pardon. It was a miracle that he thanks God for, up to date.
According to Mohammed, he was also serving a 30-year imprisonment when he met his wife Ruth. He was accused of robbery with violence at his ex-girlfriend's wedding. The ex claimed that he was the only suspect she would think of because she thought that he was jealous of her moving on.
He went to court thereafter and since he had no evidence to defend himself, he was given a 30-year sentence with no bail. On the other hand, his wife Ruth was given a death penalty due to murder. This was after a motorist who was transporting her home at night was attacked and killed by an unknown gang.She was found at the crime scene with no injuries, and she became the first suspect.
She had been in prison for 6 years before she met Mohammed, who was almost completing his term. They met while he was taking one of the prisoners to the clinic where she was being treated due to chest problems. Their friendship grew tremendously and even though he knew her sentence, he continued to encourage her.
Luckily, she got a presidential pardon, and she was released from prison. Mohammed had completed his sentence at the time, and they started a serious relationship. They dated for a while and eventually decided to get married.
They are now living happily as a couple and their two children whom they were blessed with. According to Mohammed, his wife getting out of prison was a miracle that he will forever be grateful for.
