Cotu boss Francis Atwoli, has broken silence as seven Supreme Court judges issue their verdict on the controversial Building Bridges Initiative Bill.
The vocal trade unionist who has been championing for the Initiative that was the fruit of Handshake between president Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga, has taken a swipe as high court and Court of Appeal judges over their rulings.
According to Atwoli, the Supreme Court judges have proven that their juniors made rulings based on political influence, he has asked Kenyans to keenly follow the rulings being made by the seven judges.
''I told Kenyans that the previous judgments on the BBI, both in the High Court and Court of Appeal, were pure politics and not anchored in law. They should now tune in and listen to the judgement by the judges of the Supreme Court." He posted on his social media pages.
The judges are yet to conclude giving their verdicts, in some cases they have agreed with the two courts however in others like the Basic structure doctrine, they have disagreed with them.
