Martha Koome was on Friday 21, May sworn in as the 15th Justice Justice of Kenya since independence.
She has entered the Kenyan history books for being appointed the first female Chief Justice.
Taking to social media to congratulate her, Babu Owino reminded the CJ that kenyans need BBI more than anything else.
“Congratulations Lady Justice Koome. BBI is a must to kenyans. It's not what they want it's what they NEED,” the MP wrote.
Koome was sworn in alongside the new supreme court judge William Ouko was appointed to replace retired Justice Jackton Ojwang.
The apex court will now be headed by two ladies, Justice Martha and Philomena Mwiru as CJ and DCJ respectively.
BBI case might be the first case the new supreme court judges will start with having that the Court of Appeal will less by one judge to hear the case.
