Raila argued that a handshake should take place prior to the large protest in response to William Ruto's defiance of his request.

Since street protests will be led by Azimio La Umoja after the deadline, Raila Odinga has urged his supporters to remain steadfast.
Furthermore, he has warned his ardent fans to be prepared since the public protests will not stop.
