Orengo making His Submissions earlier on Today
When James Orengo stood to speak during his submission on the BBI appeal, he lied true to his nickname as ‘Walking Constitution’. His detailed submission included quoting the bible to drive his point home on why he thinks the nullification of the BBI was against the will of the people.
Orengo made it clear that the head of state was a citizen and above all is entitled to participate in political functions although he is the president of the republic. While talking about the issue of public participation, Orengo was candid that the public was involved in all aspects including publicizing the entire process.
Orengo who is representing Raila Odinga and the secretariat did not mince his words when he quoted the constitution clause by clause making his submission stand out during the entire presentation. Tomorrow is another day when the team will make their submissions.
