Moses Kuria, the Gatundu Constituency member of parliament was allegedly arrested last night for breaking Covid-19 rules, it has been reported that the vocal lawmaker was arrested in a local restaurant past curfew hours.
However, his allies are alleging that Kuria was arrested for over the battle to win the Juja Parliamentary By-elections. They are alleging that Kuria's Candidate is a thread to Jubilees's, Susan Wakapee.
Muran'ga Senator, Irungu Kan'gata has joined the protest against Kuria's arrest and has offered to defend him in the court
"I hear Moses Kuria has been arrested for fronting a candidate in Juja.I hear his candidate is strong.Dont worry bro,I am coming to court to offer pro bono services.Since time immemorial,good political things are obtained by weeping,wailing,mourning and gnashing of teeth" Irungu Kan'gata stated.
Before his arrest, Kuria had alleged that his candidate George Koimburi's wife had been arrested under unclear circumstances and was to be arraigned in court this morning.
