The police officers play very vital roles in the country such as maintaining law and order, arresting suspected criminals and promoting accountability and transparency in the society.

Residents of Likuyani in Matunda Sub-county have today blocked Kitale Eldoret highway protesting against the sodomy cases where a police officer by the name Mr. Spencer Kibet based at Matunda police station is allegedly accused of sodomizing young school boys aged between 10-20 years.

The police constable is said to have sodomized over 20 young school boys and the area residents want legal action to be taken against Mr. Kibet. He's accused of recently sodomizing a 14 years old boy from Matunda Mau primary school. The affected boy was taken to Eldoret referral hospital and the expected amount is Ksh 70,000 before the boy start receiving treatment.

In conclusion, the Matunda residents have called upon the inspector general of police Mr. Hillary Mutyambai and the Interior Coordination Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i to take legal action against the police officer who has turned wild against the school boys.
