Big Win For Nelson Havi As Court Stops His Prosecution

The high court in Nairobi has barred police from arresting law society president Nelson Havi over the alleged assault of Society's CEO, Mercy Wambua.

Wambua went on to say that when she sat down, opened her laptop, and refused to go, the president charged at her, slamming her laptop shut and shoving her.

Havi moved to Court after Wambua filed a case that she had been assulted during LSK council meeting held on Monday at their offices. Yesterday Justice Ngaah protected Havi from imminent prosecution due to differences between Wambua and Havi.

Havi lawyer Brian Khaemba told the court that his client was arrested on Tuesday in his office without notice or explanation of what he had done.

On other hand Havi dismissed the claims that he assulted CEO Mercy Wambua. However director of prosecution Noordin Haji has said he is yet to decide whether to charge Havi or not.
