‘Kumbe Ni Pesa Nyingi’ The Current Salary Of A Chief Justice In Kenya You Need To Know.

Kenyan Chief Justice is the President of the Supreme Court, the Chief Justice, connects the Judiciary to the other branches of government.

The Deputy Chief Justice, the President of the Court of Appeal, the Principal Judge of the High Court, and the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary are all assigned duties by the Chief Justice.

The lucky candidate to fill the vacancy of Chief Justice, will earn a gross monthly salary of between Kenyan shillings 990,000 to over Kenyan shillings 1.3 million from the taxpayers excluding benefits like the allowances.

A Judge, or Magistrate can earn an average wage in a range of 80000 to 120000 based on seniority.

He or she will hold the office for a maximum of ten years, on attaining the age of 70 years with the option for early retirement upon attaining the age of 65 years is also included under the law.

A law degree from a recognized University is required, 15 years of experience as a superior court judge, high moral character, honesty, integrity and impartiality.
