A pastor charged with threatening to kill his mother has denied the charges.
Moses Njue also pleaded not guilty to the offence of possessing bhang and was freed on a bond of Sh10,000 and alternative cash bail of Sh5,000.
According to police reports, on October 30, 2021, at about 8.44pm in Gaikure village, Njue was arrested with 40 grammes of narcotics worth Sh500 which is against the law.
Prosecutor Diana Irungu ruled on a pre-trial day after one month to enable police to gather more proofs.
"The narcotics will be presented to the Government laboratory to unravel whether it is bhang. In the meantime, I have given you a charge sheet and a report from the victim to him," she said.
The suspect explained to the court that it was a family problem that had turned into "politics".
The case was scheduled for mention on December 6, 2021.
