News reaching our desk right now is that the High Court of Kenya has just quashed the murder case that had been leveled against former Malindi member of parliament and the current Cabinet Secretary for Gender and Public Service honorable Aisha Jumwa.
Jumwa alongside her aide named Geoffrey Okuto had been charged with the murder of a man during chaos that erupted at the Ganda ward by-election back in 2019. Earlier on, the duo pleaded not guilty when they first appeared before the High Court to answer for the murder charges that they had alleged to have engaged in.

A few months ago, Jumwa through her lawyer Danstan Omari had pleaded with the Director of Public Prosecutions to withdraw the case against her. They also asked for the court to allow them to settle the matter at hand out of court basis.
This is a huge relief to Jumwa after the High Court has quashed the case against her as it has been declared invalid.
