Raila and Sauti sol legal teams announces the following over the ongoing Copyright tussle

It has now reported that the Azimio la Umoja Presidential candidate Raila Odinga's legal team and and the Kenyan Boy band popularly reffered to as Sauti Sol are currently working on ways to resolve the Copyright infringement issue that had emerged earlier this week.

Sauti Sol's lawyer Moriasi Omambia says that the Azimio chief Raila Odinga wants the matter rested once in an amicable way.

"I would like to confirm that the Raila Odinga Presidential campaign and their Lawyers are working with us, the @sautisol legal team to resolve the infringement matter at hand. We acknowledge their willingness to quickly resolve the matter at hand," Lawyer Omambia wrote on Twitter.

The Sauti sol Copyright infringement claims began when Sauti sol threatened to take a legal action against the Azimio team for using its 'Extravanganza' hit song in a video where Raila Odinga was unveiling his Running mate Martha Karua on Monday May 16.

The band complained that the usage of their song amounted to Copyright infringement since they had not any agreement with the Political outfit.

However, Mr. Odinga's ODM responed quickly to the matter saying the usage of the song was just but 'a show of love for their work' and a gesture of admiration for the celebrated group.
