Arror And Kimwarer Corruption Case Takes Another Direction

The information about Aror & Kimwarer trial that comprised former CS Treasury Mr Henry Rotich, who is prosecuted alongside other officeholders from the body was submitted to court again on 18 March 2022. The hearing was put to gather decisions and assurance about the accused. The delegation is charged on various counts of conspiracy, comprising fraud and misuse of office, which seam brought about the loss of a lot of cash connected to the Aror and Kimwarer dam projects that were set to be constructed diligently in the region.

Mr Rotich filed an entreaty on November 10, 2021, before Lady Justice Esther Maina at the High Court Anti-Corruption Division, Milimani law benches, where he had to do his best in confronting the accusations that were made against him. The trial however took a nod when Lady Justice Esther rejected to open the files of Rotich. The tribunal had no question that the charges against Mr Rotich had been started by the DPP, and as a result, terminated the application, concluding that it lacked proof.

In her ruling, she asserted that the penalty sheet was legal because it contained enough evidence to inform Mr Rotich of the accusations brought against him and was consequently by another Sections 89, 134 to 137 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
