Cooked story is how popular criminal lawyer Cliff Ombeta has described the explanations that was given by the Central Regional Commsionner Fredrick Shishia over the mysterious deaths of two reported thugs in Muranga who were captured alive and would later be reported to have died in an exchange of gunfire between police and other thugs.
Cliff Ombeta has poked holes in the press statement issued by the Shishia while pointing out the inconsistencies within the speech made by the regional Commissioner.
Ombeta said that from the way Mr. Shishia was having several pauses, within his interview,it showed that he was not prepared for the interview as he was trying to remember a story they had cooked up.
Ombeta argued that how then could the police not produce the spent cartridges that were fired in the alleged cross fire as they had said.
The police had said that the two suspects had been arrested and were escorting the police to where they had hid the guns before they were ambushed before the 2 thugs could be shot dead in the fierce shootout.
