BBI Battle resumes with a mighty force

The building bridges battle is back and this time round its in the court of appeal. The listening of the petitions filled by the president,Odm party leader Raila odinga, the attoney general Paul kihara and the bbi steering commitee listening begun on monday. Laywers from all parties seem to challenge the earlier ruling of nullification of the initiative. The president of the court of appeal Daniel musinga together with other six judges are listening to the petition. Some of the judges in the seven judges sitting include; Anne okwengu, Roselyn nembuye among other judges. Lawyers that are representing different parties at the court of appeal include senior council laywer James orengo, Eric gumbo, Atiende omolo among others.

The lawyers defended the building bridges initiative by saying the president is a citizen like any other and therefore he can start a constitutional amendment bill. They also claimed that all articles in the constitution can be amended.

The lawyers are fighting tooth and nail to see that the building bridges initiative goes on and arrives at the referendum stage.
