Public Gender and Service Cabinet Secretary Aisha Jumwa will now be a state witness in a murder case against her.

The DPP filed an application to withdraw the case and the matter will be heard in the Supreme Court on the 21 of December with the Cs expected to appear in the court in person.

This comes after Jumwa's lawyer Dunstan Omari requested the case's file be reviewed because the evidence presented by the prosecution did not show that she wa involved in the shooting.
He urgued that Jumwa has never owned a gun and there wa no any indication that she had a gun on the day Gumbo Jula was shot.

What was Jumwa Accused of ?
CS Jumwa had been accused of killing Gumba Julo, a 48 year old man, on the date 15 of October 2018, when chaos erupted during the Ganda ward By Elections campaigns. Several Other people were injured in the chaos including the police officers.
