The letter related to deputy president William Ruto as a key witness to Arror Kimwarer Dam Case is fake according to the Directorate Of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji. Haji said that the letter circulating on the social media is fake because it was not written in relation to Arror Kimwarer Dam Case.
"The letter circulating on social media is fake. We wish to state that no such letter has been written in relation to the Arror and Kimwarer case," he said.
The fake letter that is circulating on social media states that deputy president will be notified by DPP office to appear in court in person and testify the case.
"My office will notify you as to the exact date that you will be required to appear in court in person and testify," the fake letter states.
The prosecution want the court to set free those people whose names do not appear in the consolidated charge sheet according to section 87(a) of the criminal procedure code.
" The person against whose names do not appear in the consolidated charge sheet be set free hence forth and their respective cases be deemed as duly terminated under section 87 (a) of the criminal procedure code," the application says.
