Havi Gives An Update On Miguna: Says That The Office Of AG Has Finally Complied With Court's Ruling

On 22nd November, Lady Justice Ong'undi of the High Court of Kenya made an order concerning the petition filed by Miguna Miguna's lawyers. The learned judge ordered Miguna to obtain an emergency travel document from the Kenya High Commission in Ottawa or Berlin or wherever he was within 72 hours. She ordered that Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure that the order is complied.

Hours after the ruling was made, Miguna visited the Kenya High Commission in Berlin but he was never assisted in any way as far as matters to do with obtaining the document were concerned. The President of LSK, Nelson Havi has given the latest update on Miguna's matter, he took to his Twitter page and gave the following information.

" Whereas the order for issuance of a Temporary Travel Document to Miguna Miguna by the Kenyan Embassy in Berlin Germany was made in the presence of the AG, the noncompliance necessitated service. The Solicitor accepted service and undertook to comply."

If Miguna will be allowed to fly back to the country, he will be required to provide an ID at the airport for identification.
