Kenyans are delighted to have the first-ever Chief Justice since the appointment of Hon Justice Martha Koome by the Judicial Service Commission [JSC].

After a rigorous vetting process with series of interviews, Martha Koome proved herself to Kenyans that she is worthy of the position.

Many individuals were satisfied by the appointment with some calling it historic.

''The appointment is a first in all aspects. For the first time in history, the composition of leadership in the three arms of government.''

Martha Koome nominated Kenya's first woman Chief Justice

''Kenya now has a woman Chief Justice, all rounded, qualified and competent to serve in our Judiciary.'' The National Gender and Equality Commission [NGEC] posted on their official website.

Renowned city pastor who is famously known as 'Slay Queen Pastor' Reverend Lucy Natasha of the Empowerment Christian Church located in Nairobi CBD had a message for Hon. Koome.

A few hours ago the Oracle leader took to her official social media account and left a post about the appointment of Chief Justice Martha Koome.

She went ahead and congratulated her for the major appointment as president of the Supreme Court.

''Congratulations Hon Justice Martha Koome on your appointment as Her Ladyship The Chief Justice of the Republic of Kenya and President of the Supreme Court. 

She continued to shower her with praises that she has inspired a generation of young ladies by breaking the glass ceiling.

''You have broken the glass ceiling and inspired a generation of upcoming young ladies that they can achieve any position within the legal world and in other spheres of leadership.'' she continued.

She stated that she wishes Hon. Koome success in the new responsibility as it is a big achievement.

''Truly a big achievement for the women of Kenya. I wish you great success in this solemn responsibility. #WomenInLeadership #ChiefJustice.'' Rev. Lucy Natasha posted on her official Instagram account.

Kenyans on social media also shared their words of congratulations on the new appointment.
