MOH: 20 Patients Test Postive for Covid-19, 7 Patients Succumb as Positive Rate is 0.6%

Covid-19 is a deadly virus that was first reported in the country last year in March. The virus originated from Wuhan China in December 2019.

Today, the ministry of health that is under the leadership of Mutahi Kagwe who is the cabinet secretary has announced that 20 patients have tested positive for the virus from the sample test of 3,444 from the last 24 hours.

Nairobi County has recorded 8 cases, Kajiado 3, Uasin Gishu 2 while Busia, Kakamega, Kiambu, Nakuru, Elgeyo Marakwet, Murang'a and Lamu recorded one case each.

On the sad news, seven patients have succumbed to the deadly virus as the positivity rate stands at 0.6%.

In conclusion, the youngest patient is aged 18 years old while the oldest has 92 years old. I take this chance to humbly request Kenyans to follow the Covid-19 containment measures such as wearing face masks and maintaining social distance as stated by the ministry of health.
