The cabinet secretary for health today briefed the nation on details involving lifting of the dusk to dawn curfew. Bars and restaurants are to close by 11.00 p.m at night or close at the time allowed according to their linceses. However all the other health protocols must continue being observed in those places. Staff and patrons must continue with regular hand washing with soap and running water, sanitizing, wearing masks and keeping social distances.
On public night travel he said resumption was allowed. However the owners of the transport companies must ensure all the other health protocols were observed by all using the buses. The ministry of transport will soon give excact details of the rules that must be followed. On vaccination the cabinet secretary for health said the government will continue working hard to ensure more vaccines were made available so that the country meets the target of ten million people vaccinated by December of this year.
Cabinet secretary Mutahi Kagwe reminded Kenyans that the pandemic was still with us and all had to be vigilant to ensure all health protocols were observed. He advised the young people to ensure their parents were vaccinated. This would be a show of love they had for their parents.
On sporting activities, the cabinet secretary ordered that all incoming athletes and sportsmen will have to be screened to ensure they were vaccinated and had proper health documents before being allowed into the country.
