Many powerful countries in all over the world including America, China have been struggling with the infection of the Coronavirus. A lot of patients are still in the hospitals of America, Asia, Europe, Africa, and Australia. Our beautiful country Kenya is also among the African countries that this killer virus has affected. According to the ministry of health, 260 new Covid-19 patients have been recorded in a sample test size of 6,226. The positivity rate has drastically dropped from 6.4% to 4.2 %. The number of patients that have died from the deadly Virus was 4 patients and the number of recoveries in the last 24 hours has totaled to109 recoveries. Some of the counties that have recorded a large number of cases are; Nairobi, Kajiado, Kitui Kiambu, and finally Nakuru.
Furthermore, The ministry has also announced that the government has received 6,353,820 vaccines and this is a good number that can vaccinate a large population. This clearly shows how our local government is ready to protect and treat us from the deadly Virus. There is bad news since some counties like Nairobi are still recording a large number of positive cases this clearly shows that people are not adhering to the Covid-19 guidelines, therefore, the ministry has urged all Kenyans to strictly follow the guidelines set by the world health organization. In addition to that everybody should visit the nearest health facility and take the Covid-19 dose so that he/she stays safe from the deadly Virus.
