Covid-19 pandemic is still a huge nightmare in the country as several individuals contract the virus on a daily basis while others loose their lives to its complications.

However, the Government and Ministry of Health have been doing their best in making sure the Covid-19 vaccines are available for every Kenyan with several doses being donated.

Several Kenyans have been turning up to get their jabs, but youths have been defying the calls to show up and get the vaccines.

According to the Standard digital news reports, some youths across various counties were interviewed and asked why they were not getting vaccinated with some reasons being so peculiar.

One youth from Vihiga County identified as Beatrice Mijide stated that she is afraid of taking the jab because she doesn't know if it will affect her baby getting ability.

"What happens if I pick up the jab have my fertility affected? I do not have a baby yet. I don't want to risk." The 28 years old stated.

Another youth from Kisumu County questioned the efficacy and side effects of the vaccines which many youths are not aware of.

"How safe are the vaccines if they are donating while their people are still succumbing to the Covid-19 complications?" The youth asked.

It has become a major worry to the Government on how they will convince youths to get vaccinated, but there are still hopes that they will get the jabs.
