The Ministry Of Health is responsible for sending messages to Kenyans concerning the state of Covid 19 in the country. This evening, the Ministry Of Health has sent a message to Kenyans via their official verified Facebook page concerning the state of Covid 19 in the country.
According to the Ministry Of Health in the last 24 hours 292 people have tested positive for the virus from a total sample size of 3, 297. The number clearly shows that the positivity rate in the country is now at 8.9 per cent. Whereas from the new cases 259 are Kenyans and 33 are foreigners, 151 are males and 141 are females. The youngest is 7 months old and the oldest is 95 years old.
261 patients, according to the Ministry Of Health, have recovered. 250 from the Home based isolation and care program and 11 from the health care facilities in the country.
On another sad note 2 patients have been confirmed to have died from the virus raising the death toll in the country to 5, 659.
123 patients are currently admitted in the health care facilities in the country and 2, 742 are in the home based isolation and care program.
The Ministry Of health have wished all those infected a quick recovery and has asked Kenyans to follow the guidelines to curb the spread of the virus.
