Yesterday, the Ministry of Health announced 144 new Covid-19 patients. Today, the MOH has confirmed almost double the number of cases reported yesterday. The MOH has confirmed 283 positive cases today. The number of samples that were tested are 4,822. The total cases that have been confirmed so far stands at 103,615. The health ministry has as at now managed to test 1,254,018 samples.
In terms of distribution, the health Ministry of Health announced that Nairobi County has recorded 196 Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours. Busia County reported 16 cases, Kiambu County 14 cases, Mombasa County 11 cases and Nakuru County recorded 8 cases. Other counties that reported the cases including Uasin Gishu which reported 6 cases, Kajiado County reported 5 cases, Machakos 5 cases, Kilifi 4 cases, Kisumu County 4, Kwale County 3 while Makueni County recorded 3 cases, Homa bay County 2 cases, Taita Taveta County 2 cases, Murang’a 2 cases, while Siaya and Migori Counties reported 1 case each.
The Ministry of Health has also confirmed death of 6 more Covid-19 patients. This has raised the death statistics to 1,807. Other 66 people who have been suffering from coronavirus have now fully recovered and discharged. So far the number of people who have fully recovered from Covid-19 are 85,457.
