The ministry of Health led by Mutahi Kagwe has been advising Kenyans to be more carefully as the Covid-19 infections are spiking in the country. As per today's report form the ministry, Kenya has a positivity rate of 11.8% and a total of 230, 794 Kenyans have been confirmed to have contacted the virus since 2019.
Today's worrying news also confirmed a total of 1,116 cases from a sample size of 9,924 tests done in the past 24 hours. Sadly, 36 patients have been confirmed to have died of the disease raising the number of fatalities to 4,564. The government has been putting a lot of effort in ensuring that Kenyans are safe. This includes launching mass vaccination of Kenyans especially government civil servants. This was possible after Kenyan received Moderna Covid-19 vaccines from the UK to facilitate this process.
According to the information provided by Capital FM, Kenya managed to vaccinate 72,760 people yesterday. Therefore its very sad to see so many deaths in a single day while infections are also rising despite the government efforts.
We should all take care of ourselves and help the government in fighting this pandemic by adhering to the safety measures. Drop your comments below, like, share and follow this channel for more updates.
