After the celebration of Madaraka Day on 1st June 2021,Kisumu was later confirmed as the epicenter of the world wide pandemic .

Very many residents have tested positive of coronavirus and this has created fear to all the residents causing congestion in hospitals and increase in county expenditure as alot of funds are allocated to take care of patients under quarantine and purchase facilities like beds .

These confirmed cases increased rapidly forcing the governor to issues some corrective measures incoperation with the government and CS of health inorder to minimize the number of confirmed cases.

The measures were as follows ; all mortuaries to be evacuated in 48hours, curfew to begin at 7pm and all public gathering and churches were also suspended.

These measures more so curfew has negatively affected the economy ,for instance "mama mboga" have been greatly affected because most of their products are normally purchased in evening hours thus curfew makes them unable to meet their daily needs and incur loses because most of their goods are perishable.

The government should allow church services to resume for citizens to pray to the almighty to curse the deadly disease because God has power over everything.
