The government through the ministry of health has announced some good news to all Kenyans who have their National Hospital Insurance Fund well know by many as NHIF card. According the government, all Kenyans shall now get affordable health care whenever they visit any hospital and use their NHIF cards.
Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said this on Wednesday while announcing the covid-19 cases where he assured Kenyans that it is the time for them to access affordable health care. (Any Kenyan with NHIF card shall be required to pay less as the government will pay the rest. For example if you get treated for kshs 9,00, you will only pay kshs, 2,000 and the government shall pay the rest,'') said Mutahi Kagwe.
The ball is now on those who have not obtained their NHIF cards.
