Celiac disease is a condition that affects people who have a serious sensitivity to gluten. Gluten is a type of protein that is too found in barley ,rye and wheat.
What happens is that when people with celiac disease eat gluten,their immune system becomes compromised and causes major damage to the villi;which are finger like protrusions in the small intestines that assist a person to be able to absorb nutrients from food.
The major signs and symptoms of celiac disease are:- Bloating,diarrhea, abdominal pain, constipation,vomiting,weight loss,anemia,fatigue,seizures and bone loss.
Ulcerative colitis is an inflammatory bowel disease that affects the large intestine also known as the colon.Ulcerative colitis causes ulcers or sores to develop in the lining of the colon.
The major signs and symptoms of ulcerative colitis are:- Blood in the stool,abdominal cramps,frequent and urgent bowel movements and diarrhea that is accompanied by pain.
