The search for the chief justice has entered the fourth day. Justice Marete has appeared before the Judicial Services Commission as the search for the new chief justice to replace the vacant position left after Maraga retired continues.
Justice Marete has been probed on whether he has a mental problem as indicated on his NHIF card.
"I have no mental issues. There was an error in my card and I have never had the time to correct the issue. I highlighted I have visual disability and diabetes-low blood sugar from time to time," said Justice Marete Njagi as he responded to the commission.
Justice Marete Njagi currently is a judge incharge of labour court.
Once the interviews have been concluded. Three names will be forwarded to the president. He will select one name who will have to be approved by the national assembly.
The person to occupy the office should be of high intergrity . The country is preparing to have a general elections next year and there's possibilities that election petition might occur.
