Through Citizen, TV Kenyans learned that one of the RMS staff members died after consuming poisoned food. The Royal Media company, according to the source, hired a catering service to provide food for the staff during the holiday season. Shortly after consuming the provided food, the staff members started experiencing some stomach problems.
Sadly, one of them passed away and more than five other workers were hospitalized.
Fortunately, Francis Gachuri who was present during the ceremony informed Kenyans about his condition. "Thank you all for the calls, texts, and kind concern. I am well." He Wrote on Hellen Muthoni's Facebook page. During the event, Francis and Hellen Muthoni recorded a video together where they wished Kenyans happy holidays.
Francis sent condolences to the family of the departed colleague and wished quick recovery to the hospitalized colleagues. Francis concluded to say that the food poisoning situation was being handled professionally and with utmost care.
