Face masks must be worn at all times. If you are found without, you will be arrested.

In an effort to combat Covid-19, Susan Mochache, principal secretary for health, says Kenyans must begin wearing face masks as a requirement.

"The wearing of masks is required. Please don't disregard it. You will be imprisoned if found without a mask "In an effort to shield last-mile communities from the epidemic, she kicked off a fleet of Mobile Vaccination Clinics (MVCs) at DC Grounds, Kibra, along with Amref Health Africa and AstraZeneca.

The ten mobile clinics will target hard-to-reach communities throughout Kenya with COVID-19 vaccines and other medical services.

"We are concerned by the fact that 3.9% of Covid-19 infections to date have been among healthcare professionals. What does this entail, then? It indicates that the sixth wave of the epidemic is about to hit hard, and it also suggests that we may be welcoming the limits that caused our nation to incur significant economic losses, according to Mochache.

If people don't do two things—wear masks at all times and receive vaccines against the disease—the nation runs the risk of returning to the Covid-19 restrictions, whose effects on the economy are still being felt.

She urged Kenyans to examine the Covid-19 data, from the positive instances to those who had been admitted to general hospitals, intensive care units, and high dependency units, and take action to improve their own circumstances.

Testing decreases on weekends, therefore the PS highlighted that the 262 positive cases it was detecting today might still be a sign that there are more positive cases out there.

She pleaded with Kenyans, "Please go and be tested if you are feeling under the weather. Covid is a life-or-death situation. There are now 4 patients in the ICU, 8 in the HDU, and 118 in other medical institutions.
