"We Cannot Fight Ebola" KMPDU Says After Ebola Outbreak In Uganda

More and more people are dying as the Ebola outbreak spreads, and the entire country is in a state of panic. A few days ago, it was reported that a Ugandan doctor had died from Ebola. Recently, the deadly Ebola illness has reappeared following the pandemic epidemics of the Corona Virus.

Due to its proximity to Kenya and Tanzania, Uganda is concerned that the deadly Ebola virus could spread throughout the country if appropriate limitations are not implemented.

However, the Kenya Medical Practitioners Pharmacist Dentist Union of Doctors has spoken out today during the outbreak, claiming that the country is not prepared to tackle COVID-19 adequately. Davi Attelah, secretary general of the union, verified that the country's health care system is inadequate to combat the deadly Ebola virus by comparing it to other systems.

According to their plan, Kenya's government, led by President William Samoei Ruto, should build more isolation centres to prevent the spread of the disease in the event of a new case being discovered.

Meanwhile, interim Health Director Patrick Amoth disclosed that the Kakamega County suspect with Ebola symptoms screened at St. Marry's hospital proved negative. The country's citizens were already anxious that things could go worse if official records showed that the transmission of the Ebola Virus.

Having a strong public health system is essential because, as Atellah put it, "Ebola mortality is on average 50% but can increase to 90%, therefore there is value in having it so that if there is an outbreak, we can act on it." In the event that more cases of Ebola are discovered in Kenya, do you believe it would be beneficial to set up several isolation units across the country?
