The rate of covid 19 infections in the country has been on the downward trend in the last report given by the ministry of health. Last month, the president of the republic of Kenya Uhuru kenyatta extended the ban on political gatherings due to increase of covid 19 infections that was being exprencied at that time. Economy was reopened partially while curfew hours was to be observed until the positivity rate could be managed in the country.
According to the Ministry of health ,the positivity today stand at 7.5pc after 469 people tested positive from 6244 samples in the last 24 hours.
The Covid19 seemed to have been slightly managed. With only 13 months remaining to the general election next year. The goverment should consider reopening economy fully including allowing political events. This will help citizens to interact with the leaders whom they think can well advocate for their issues unlike waiting for next year which might plunge the country into political crisis.
