"Govt Will Not Close Border" MOH Issues New Covid-19 Directives To Curb New Omicron variant

Many Covid-19 variants have been reported in different countries. Furthermore, many countries have been issuing new directives to curb the spreading of this disease. Some countries have banned all flights from South Africa where the first case of Omicron variants was detected some few days ago.

According to the source, Susan Muchache who is also health Principal Secretary has revealed that the government will not close it's borders but anybody who will coming back to our country will be screened properly and show their vaccination certificate before being allowed in the country. Furthermore, she has revealed that, the ministry of health is working tirelessly to make sure no case of Omicron variant will reported in the country. I quote her statement from the source, " we are not taking any chances at our borders. We have seen mutations before and we have learnt our lessons. We are doing everything possible to ensure the variant does not get into our territory. We are science-led rather than make Knee jerk reactions in as far closing our borders is concerned," Susan revealed.

This comes in after some countries have issued new guidelines to curb the spreading of omicron variant.
