Three Liver Diseases and Disorders that are Deadly to Avoid

1. Jaundice

This is characteristiced by yellowing of the membrane and skin. It results from failure of the liver to excrete all the bile pigments from the red blood cell haemoglobin breakdown.

2. Hepatitis

Hepatitis is the inflammation of the liver caused by avirus, common types are known namely Hepatitis A and B. Hepatitis A is more common among children and young adults. It is passed from one person to another through contact of the body fluid, contaminated food, milk and water. Hepatitis B is common in adults. It is transmitted through contaminated injections, instruments and other implements that pierce the skin.

3. Liver Cirrhosis.

Liver Cirrhosis is the contraction and hardening of the liver due to death of the liver cells. The disease is caused by ingestion of toxic chemical such as alcohol, attack by either bacteria or viruses and Liver parasites. Symptoms are slow to develop and are normally seen when the disease is at an advanced stage. These symptoms include body weakness , loss of weight, indigestion, poor appetite, pain in the upper right quarter of the abdomen and occasional vomiting of bloody material and jaundice. If large portion of liver is damaged, death may result.0
