Today's Covid-19 Update As 14 Patients Succumb

Coronavirus started in China in Wuhan City in 2019. It spread to all other countries in a short time.

The Ministry of Health headed by Mutahi Kagwe confirmed the first case in mid-March last year(2020). Since then, a total of 253,66 cases have been confirmed from cumulative tests of 2,724,372.

Today 149 people have tested positive for the virus from a sample size of 5,500

In terms of county distribution; Kitui 49, Nairobi 41, Nakuru 9, Trans Nzoia 7, Busia 5, Kisii 5, Meru 5, Isiolo 4, Makueni 3, Kakamega 3, Bomet 2, Bungoma 2, Marsabit 2, Elgeyo Marakwet, Garissa, Kajiado, Kisumu, Migori, Muranga, Nandi, Narok, Nyandarua, Tharaka Nithi, Uasin Gishu and Kajiado had one case each.

Bad News to Kenyans is that 14 patients have died from the disease all of them being late deaths reported after conducting facility record audits. The total dead fatalities have risen to 5,296.

In my view, all of us need to continue adhering to the measures.
