The ministry of health has today recorded 834 new positive cases of Covid 19 in the last 24 hours. This was from a sample of 8498 tests. The number of total infections is now at 158326. The number of people who recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours were 579 which brings the total number of recoveries in the country to 107882.
Sadly, 23 people have died from the virus and this brings the total number of deaths to 2688. The other news is that 1300 patients have been admitted in different health facilities while 6978 patients are in home based care.
The government has been able to vaccinate 853081 people against the virus. On that note, the positivity rate was at 9.8 percent.
We are not at a very bad position but there is room for improvement. We just need to follow the protocols have been provided by the government so that we can curb the spread of the virus.
